The chef(s) and waitress are toishan speakers. It has been too long since I've ate here. We pass by Tasty all the time. Tonight I had their black pepper steak $16 and Chinese flat roti with curry sauce on the side $10. Both are so-so. The black pepper sauce is great, the spaghetti sauce, not so. The roti was fine, oily and flavorful. The curry had a weird after taste. Luckily, it is served on the side. No water refills and the waitress is in her own world unless you ask for her.

$53 take out of these 3 dishes. We made rice at home as their is an extra charge and ordering ake out of rice usually does not taste as good. Salmon, spicy green beans and spicy tofu were all good tonight. Portion size of each of the three entrees were decent as well.

Used to eat at their Daly City south San Francisco one... same food, same ambiance, fast service. Very delicious. Now that I know where they are in Union city they will see me again.

Came for after school snack. Ordered beef and tofu, pepper steak, and beef and mushroom over rice. Everything was colorful, fresh, tasty and it had the "wok Hay" flavor from their seasoned wok!! Good portions. It's a no frills Cantonese HK style Eastern/Western food that the family can enjoy. So you could have sandwiches, fries, fish balls, fried chicken wings, red bean float drink, etc... Reasonable, clean, fast service. This is a family place...English is not their first language but service was good! They have all the comfort foods you would expect. Wonton, chow mein, chow fun, and meal set lunch specials for each daily special that includes coffee or tea and a bowl of house soup just like your mom would make at home that was boiled for hours! They also have the 3 dish meals you can choose from their extensive list. Lots of choices and very simple place. Plenty of meter spaces in area.

The Mongolian beef chow fun was very good and the porridge is plain and average (bonus points for the large pieces of fish). You have to add your own salt and pepper to your liking since they don't add it for you. Their Hong king milk tea was great with the right thickness, I just recommend adding another packet of sugar or two. This place is a no frills HK cafe, similar to the ABC cafe in SF. They have a very large extensive menu - spaghetti, sandwiches, Chinese food, seafood, etc.

I have been coming here for a few years and will say it is a reliable place to get a Hong Kong style breakfast/lunch. The service staff is limited but does a great job taking care of the entire restaurant. The owner is also very nice and friendly and helps out a lot in the restaurant. The food is tasty and really feels good to eat. I usually get the family style meals (6 items) but have occasionally come for the breakfast offerings too (porridge, rice noodles, toast, milk tea). Any of the dishes are really good, it's a matter of preference. I always end up picking the very yeet hai (less healthy) items because of how much I like them. The ambience can get crowded and busy during the weekend brunch time. Lots of older families come here especially on Sundays. Again props to the lone server who handles the entire place. I would recommend this place to people looking for a Hong style breakfast.

The place doesn't look like much when you walk by... Review is based on pre-covid experiences. So yeah, we dined here a few times with family. The restaurant looks and feels dated but does have that diner feel. I believe this place was a breakfast diner before. I think my dad used to eat breakfast here years ago. We had some pretty decent Chinese food and Chinese style western food like prime rib here. Yes, you heard right. Prime rib special on certain days. Being in a celebratory mood one night, we ordered the prime rib with the Chinese food. We shared of course and it was rad. So it wasn't the best prime rib that I had, but I felt like we were in a low budget buffet in Vegas that night. Minus drinks and gambling. Lol. Fun times and this review reminded me that I miss everyone.

Shocked I haven't written a review for the most authentic Hong Kong style restaurant in the Richmond district of SF, way better than ABC. It used to be a Chinese Denny's long ago, can't use that name. Still the same amazing Chinese dishes made with love. There's an afternoon happy hour. We usually get the family style dinner, everything is delicious & tasty here. Cash only. 'Til next time ~ gan bei & see you on Yelp (SYOY)!
